Structural Steel H-Beams & Heavy Built-Up Girders

In large industrial plants and long-span structures, H-beams and built-up girders are often the key load-bearing members. They usually carry substantial loads and provide stable structural support under continuous operational stress. Projects with comparable load demands or structural configurations can be supported through our custom fabrication capabilities, developed in close coordination with client engineering requirements.

Fabrication starts with cutting steel plates into flange and web sections. Edges and weld areas are then prepared and ground to ensure proper weld quality. For projects requiring full or partial penetration welds, beveling is applied to the web plates to meet structural specifications. The sections are precisely aligned and assembled using H-beam assembly equipment before automated submerged arc welding is carried out to ensure consistent weld integrity. After welding, hydraulic straightening equipment is used to correct deformation, and full dimensional inspections are conducted. A controlled heat straightening is applied when required in order to meet design tolerances.

Large plate girders belong to the category of ultra-heavy welded H-section structures, with individual units weighing from dozens to hundreds of tons. In projects that involve long spans or significant structural loads, such as heavy industrial facilities and large infrastructure builds, these custom-fabricated steel structures provide the necessary strength and rigidity to keep the structure stable.
